Tarpon
PrimaryMegalops atlanticus

The waters of Tapam includes a vast inland system of lagoons, creeks, rivers and a very special canal. While some resident tarpon are found year round, the bigger migratory tarpon start to enter the system at the beginning of the year and by in mid-February have spread to many of the spots we fish. March through May are regarded as our prime season. The weather is mostly dry and sunny through March and April with more short but hectic showers starting to appear during the second half of May.
